Weight loss, whether you are vegan or not, isn’t just about eating less. Although consuming more calories than expended is part of the initial problem, it does not follow that reducing intake, unless consciously counting calories, is the best solution.

A healthy and successful vegan diet is about eating the RIGHT foods.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is why many vegan women don’t see the progress they desire- because they are focused on eating as little as possible. Cutting calories cannot be your whole weight loss approach.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’re like any of my clients you may try to just cut out calories when you try to lose weight – truth is you’re never going to be able to stay consistent for more than a few days or a week max if you don’t eat the right types of foods and portions.

That’s because…⠀⠀
1) Not eating balanced meals(low calorie without the right types of foods leading to hunger and cravings no matter what)
2) The wrong portions lead to more muscle loss and more metabolic “damage” aka slowing down of how many calories you burn per day… this leads to weight regain!
3) Eating less doesn’t mean you’re eating the “healthy”foods that make your skin glow or gut regular (aka you will bloat!)

If you have no idea how to eat balanced meals and the right portions you should be eating to lose weight, VWN is here to show you!
