I had a client who was told by her trainer “fruit is fattening and too high in sugar-just avoid it!

This is a Fruit MYTH…

and very bad advice for long term health and weightless. Unfortunately, there is a lot of inaccurate information that gets circulated about fruit.

Are you concerned that you eat too much fruit? Of all the things to worry about when it comes to food, fruit isn’t it. But diet culture sure makes us feel like it’s something to to worry about!

Being rich in nutrients, I want to debunk some common fruit myths that could be holding you back on your weightloss journey.

My Response to Common Fruit Myths

Myth: “Fruit has too much sugar!”
Me: Fruit does have sugar AND it also has fiber, antioxidants, vitamins + minerals.

Myth: “Fruit is fattening!”
Me: Sugar does not magically convert into fat. There is not one food that causes weight gain. Your eating pattern is what matters most!

Myth: “You shouldn’t eat fruit before sleeping.”
Me: Your body does not shift from burning calories to storing them as fat when you fall asleep. You still burn calories to maintain your bodily functions.

Myth: “Fruit contains bad sugar.”
Me: When consumed as a whole fruit, the sugar in fruits alongside other nutrients are good for you and adds minimal fructose to your diet. Chances are that you might be getting too much fructose in your diet through the consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages, such as soda.

The nutrient composition of fruit varies greatly among the different types, but all varieties contain important nutrients.

One of the reasons women end up dieting for so long and ultimately end up more confused than ever about what food– they’re prioritizing the wrong things. Stressing about whether or not they ate too much fruit that day.

This is exactly why I created The VWN, I’ll guide you step-by-step, how to feel confident in your vegan meal choices to reach your healthy weight and help your body burn fat more efficiently.

And what that means to you is you’re going to have the tools + support you need to feel more confident in your body.

But honestly, the real value is the mental energy and presence you’ll gain since you won’t be thinking about food 24/7 .
